Clear Aligners in Kingsley
At Serene Smiles Perth, we want to help you get the smile you’ve always wanted. Dentists Dr Mitra and Dr Parnian have built their practice on integrity and gentleness, and they offer a variety of services to help you correct, enhance and maintain your smile. If your teeth are crooked or misaligned, clear aligners may be a good choice for you.
Who Are Clear Aligners Recommended for?
We generally recommend clear aligners for adults (sometimes teens) with mild to moderate issues. Complex bite issues are better addressed with traditional braces.
The Process
Before we begin with your clear aligners, we’ll do a thorough check-up to ensure your teeth and mouth are healthy. If there are any issues that need treatment, we’ll complete those as well. And we’ll do a cleaning if you haven’t had one in the last six months.
When we have ensured that your teeth are healthy, we’ll begin by taking photos and creating models of what your teeth will look like when we’re done. We’ll go over everything with you and, when you’re happy with the predicted results, we use your moulds to create your aligners. You’ll have several sets of aligners, and you’ll switch to a new set periodically. We’ll see you every few months to ensure that everything is going well.
FAQs
How long will I have the aligners?
Depending on the amount of correction needed, treatment generally takes between 6 and 24 months.
Yes. Aligners must be worn for 22 hours per day in order to work. You take them out to eat and brush your teeth.
Are clear aligners better than braces?
Clear aligners are a good option for relatively minor cases. For complex issues, we’ll refer you to an orthodontist. For children, braces are a better option because kids don’t typically wear the aligners as they should.
