That’s why we’re proud to offer composite bonding, a versatile and minimally invasive cosmetic dental treatment that can correct a wide range of dental imperfections and enhance the beauty of your smile.

What is Composite Bonding?

Composite bonding, also known as tooth bonding or dental bonding, is a procedure in which our skilled dentists apply a tooth-coloured, composite resin material to the surface of your teeth. This resin is then precisely sculpted and shaped to address various cosmetic concerns, such as:

  • Chipped, cracked, or fractured teeth
  • Gaps or spacing between teeth
  • Misshapen or irregularly shaped teeth
  • Discoloured or stained teeth
  • Exposed tooth roots due to gum recession

The Benefits of Composite Bonding

At Serene Smiles Perth, we recommend composite bonding for a number of reasons, including but not limited to:

  • Natural Appearance: Our composite resin materials are carefully selected to match the natural shade and translucency of your teeth, ensuring a seamless and lifelike result.
  • Minimally Invasive: Unlike veneers or crowns, composite bonding typically requires minimal preparation of your natural tooth structure, making it a conservative treatment option.
  • Quick and Convenient: In most cases, this treatment can be completed in a single visit, providing you with immediate smile enhancement.
  • Versatile Solution: Composite bonding can address a wide range of cosmetic dental concerns, making it a flexible and adaptable treatment option.

Composite Bonding vs. Porcelain Veneers

While composite bonding can offer outstanding cosmetic results, porcelain veneers may be a more suitable option for those seeking a longer-lasting and more durable solution. At your appointment, we’ll be sure to evaluate your smile and help you choose the treatment that can bring you the results you’re looking for.

Recent Case Study

Techniques: Composite bonding

Patients chief concern: Minor crowding and imbalanced shapes of teeth

Process: An existing composite resin filling was removed from one of the teeth. Then small amounts of composite resin material were added to the front six teeth to enhance each tooth shape to create a balanced and fuller smile, to address the patients’ main concerns.

This procedure involved NO removal of tooth structure, and is therefore minimally invasive to ensure the underlying tooth remains structurally intact and healthy.
